fair time...

gwen and i got there early enough for krusty pups... mmmm... battered goodness...

next we looked for abby's teachers quilt... it won a blue ribbon...

after walking around a little, it was time for the show...
steven took the stage first... he was great...not our first time seeing him, but i think the best...
after a quick stage change... "W" took over... and he was awesome... his band was great and the new music he played from his upcoming album was real good...

my sister and bro-in-law were 18 rows behind us... "hi hol"...

my buddy brian... landed our 4th row seats... and it was cool seeing him there... thanks again brian...
the BIGGEST treat at the fair was seeing our good friends, and the pastor that married us... gary and louise... from south dakota... they were out visiting some friends and churches in the area and we bumped into them.... didnt even know they were going to be in the state... let alone the fair...
oh yea... we ate scones... lots and lots of scones...

happy birthday noah...

this year noah turned 11 on the seattle seahawks home opener, so gwen and i decided to give him for his birthday a seahawk game package which included... four tickets to the game, one for him, two for his parents and one for a friend to be named later... he picked his long time friend and avid sports fan isayah... it included lunch: nachos and sodas and hot dogs and more sodas, it included souvenirs: a clock, a 12th man flag, 12th man towels, a seahawk pumpkin, poster of matt hasselbeck, and also included round trip transportation...

the boys walking towards the stadium... ready to cheer... and they were loud!!!

the boys enjoying their lunch before the game... the weather was beautiful... sunny and 80 degrees...

standing room only tickets turned into front row seats for the boys... really great seats...

noahs birthday sign attracted alot of attention... so he posed for a few pictures (seattle sombrero and blue lady,... and "big LO"...and even was given a dollar as a gift from some fan who just liked his sign....

seattle in the background... what a great day....
the transportation and the wallet had a good time also...
unfortunately the seahawks lost in OT... 30 - 33, but a HAPPY BIRTHDAY was had by noah...

time to celebrate gwen, martina and us...

gwen and i celebrated our anniversary and her birthday and our good friend martina's birthday last night at c.i. shenanigans in downtown tacoma...it was a beautiful night by the sound and the food was wonderful...
the clouds did come in at the end of the meal but the temperature was still enjoyable...
i had the french onion soup for my appetizer and it was amazing... they plated it on sea salt, and the bowl was a very large walla walla onion... incredible...
poor wes had to sit facing direct sun until the clouds came in at the conclusion of our meal... because of this inconvenience he was the lucky recipient of this large 'buttface ale' brewed next door at the local ram brewery ...
i dont think he minded the sun at this point...
what do you think?

girl time...

my last day of vacation... 20 days strong... i am so thankful for the time i have had off and to tell you the truth... i did nothing...

now, when i say i did nothing, im not including the *driving 4330.0 miles* or *driving a top speed of 103 in my minivan through montana* or *relaxing with family and friends across the country for 16 days* or *enjoying incredible food* or *starbucks drive-through in 5 states* or *shopping at COSTCO in 3 states* or *playing the wii (alot)* (the list could go on)

until today... i actually broke down and worked on something... i worked in the garage for a couple of hours... and i think i got a good start... so...

while i did this, the boys played wii... mom took abby and grandma carol(my mom) on a little girls outing which included a trip to the park, a stop by the library for some fresh books and movies, and a cold beverage at STARBUCKS... what a treat...

the kids have a great mom, my wife, my love... gwen....

thanks for being so good to us...

love ya
