School Fun for Abby

Abby has had a couple of fun school projects recently.

Her 2nd grade class had an assignment to read a biography and then create a diorama representing that book. Abby chose to read about Sacajawea and created her diorama to represent the time Sacajawea spent at Fort Clatsop (in Oregon) during the winter of 1805-1806. We visited this site last November with Papa and Gramma, so it was fun for Abby to read about it again.

Mark helped Abby with the popsicle stick cabin, and I won't tell you how many tries it took Abby and me to make that clay doll. Let's just say it reinforced the fact that I am not the least bit crafty! But Abby was pleased with the end result and we had lots of family fun working on this project.


Then last week Abby's school celebrated "International Day," and the students were encouraged to wear a costume representing their heritage. Abby was so excited to get to wear the Norwegian costume that Grandma from North Dakota made and gave her for Christmas!

She's pretty cute, huh?!

ethan turns 10...

our middle boy ethan turns 10 today... he makes us so proud for so many reasons... he has a gentle soft spirit that Jesus gave him that causes him to hurt and care for others...

he has expressed love for Jesus in so many ways... both verbally and through his actions and this makes gwen and me so very happy...

so our continued prayer for ethan will be that he continues to walk with his Lord and as his faith becomes stronger that he will continue to seek ways to please his saviour...

thanks for the great times this year and the love that you share with mom and me (and your siblings...) : )

this week abby and cole have been taking tennis lessons... and both of them are enjoying it immensely...

abby has soared to the top of her class and cole was voted most improved during the week...

abby got a tennis racket and the tennis outfit
for her birthday on tuesday... and she was so pleased... cole got his racket for CHRISTmas... he has been wanting to take lessons ever since....

they both are doing so well and we are so proud...

birthday date at starbucks with my sweetie...(and her little brother) then to the park...

abby turns 8 tomorrow... i gotta work and wont be home till early afternoon... so, since it is spring break... i decided to take her out this morning...

we had a great time at starbucks... and because it was so sunny(already 60 degrees here)... we decided to go to the park too...

i think another trip to the park is in the plans for this afternoon... then... tennis lessons for abby and cole...(post on that later... : ) ... )
